01

Start from the application, not the powder.

A bakery batter, an ice cream base, an iced drink and a private-label range place different demands on the same crop. Ube is Dioscorea alata: a pure dehydrated powder, a latte preparation, a purée and a flavouring are not interchangeable, and neither are their suppliers.

  • Form: pure powder, formulated blend, purée or paste, flavouring, fresh.
  • Use: bakery, ice cream and desserts, beverages, manufacturing, private label.
  • Volume: a sample trial, a pilot, or a recurring programme.
  • Destination: the country that determines import requirements and documentation.

What a shortlist looks like.

A useful shortlist separates a farmers association from a processor, an exporter from a reseller of somebody else’s brand. It says where the organisation is documented, what it publishes, and what has not been verified. Our directory already carries that distinction, region by region.

  • Category, region and country for each organisation, never inferred from a company name.
  • The provenance of each record: official site, seller declaration, institutional source, press or historic register.
  • What still has to be asked: legal identity, composition, origin, capacity, minimum order, documents.
03

The questions we help you get answered.

Most sourcing failures come from comparing incomparable answers. We keep the same questions in front of every candidate so that the replies can be put side by side.

  • Full ingredient declaration, botanical identity and percentage of actual ube.
  • Growing region, processing site, harvest period and lot traceability.
  • Available capacity and replenishment lead time, distinct from cultivated area.
  • Minimum order, packing, shelf life and batch analyses for the offered lot.
  • Quotations on the same quantity, currency, Incoterm and named place.

What you should expect from us - and what you should not.

You should expect a documented shortlist, a real introduction and a coordinated follow-up. You should not expect a stock list, a guaranteed price or a certified supplier: those come from the organisation you select, on the lot you buy, and must be verified for your market.

Common questions.

Do I have to know my exact specification first?

No. Intended use, form, approximate volume and destination are enough to start. Selecting the wrong form early is the most common and most expensive mistake, so that is where the work begins.

Can you get me a sample?

Sample availability, cost and shipping are decided by the organisation that would send it. We coordinate the request and keep the terms explicit before anything is dispatched.

Can you supply outside the Philippines?

Our mapping covers the Philippines and, separately, international processors and distributors of Philippine ube. Import feasibility for your destination is reviewed per project; receiving an enquiry is not a confirmation that a route exists.

Is my enquiry an order?

No. An enquiry starts a conversation. No payment, no order and no supply commitment follows from submitting the form.

None of the organisations listed is a partner, a verified supplier or a holder of stock available to UbeTerra.
